I have written the introduction for Richard Calder’s novel Babylon, out soon from PS Publishing. This was a big honour for me, as I have always admired Richard’s work.
It seems I have rather embarassingly not posted any updates for over a year! There is much to report…
Last year I made the move to Thailand, where I am teaching English and working on my next novel. I plan to be here until early 2007.
Four translations of The Etched City have become available in Europe over the last year, with the latest release in Spain with a wonderful cover using artwork by Alphonse Mucha. Full details of these editions can be found in my bibliography.
Continuing its tour of Europe, Croatian, Czech, French and German translations of The Etched City are being made. I will post details of these editions when they are ready for the book stores.
The anthology The Devil in Brisbane is out now from Prime, edited by Zoran Živković and Geoffrey Maloney. I contributed the story Between the Covers and did the cover artwork.

I was a finalist for the 2005 John W. Campbell Best New Writer Award. It was my first year of eligibility, and despite the recent rule changes, it has been confirmed that I will again be eligible for the 2006 award.
