No, you may not have a pony. Not when…
Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 at 7:25 pm…you can go riding buck naked on a crocodile.
But be cautious around the giant mutant sunflowers - a predecessor of El Seed, perhaps?
I found these images in the National Library of Australia’s collection of images from the Australian Inland Mission, which my great-(great-?)grandfather Rev. John Armour served with.
In their collection there are also some pictures of the camels that were widely used in the arid regions of the outback:
Beasts of burden (the men in this picture look Aboriginal; images of Aborigines are restricted on the site due to taboos about viewing images of the dead, and these two might be very sunburned Indian camel drivers, or the image may have been overlooked by the checker.)
Man with a baby camel at Oodnadatta
Crossing a river in South Australia
School picnic wagon
Woman on camel (riding sidesaddle?)
Shopping
Out for a drive
and some interesting old pictures of outback architecture:
Rather nice train station apparently in the middle of nowhere
It’s all about location
Boulder City, Kalgoorlie, Western Aus.
Boab tree prison
China Town, Northern Territory (Proof Rock looked a bit like this)
The better looking Argent Street, Broken Hill
The 3rd and 5th Pyramids and the Great Sphinx - and you thought they were in Egypt, didn’t you?
School in Birdsville, Queensland
Lastly, SUVs are for wimps.

though it’s not on the list http://www.cybernude.com/todonude.htm I’m pretty sure riding on a croc can’t even be the wisest thing to do while clothed.
That being said, I rather miss the Tick.

I think the question that’s really on everyone’s mind here is… why, why a crocodile, why naked? Just, why?

Sadly the page won’t load - I’ll just have to use my imagination. (My own list would include fill out tax return, write novel #2, attend school reunion)
I miss the Tick, definitely. Every time I look at a spoon.

Laurie - because it was there, and if you’re going to ride a crocodile, you might as well go all the way and do it naked? …?…?
