Hi,

Just wanted to say I very much enjoyed Heart of a Mouse. It has lingered in the brain for a few days since I read it, which is always a good sign. In some ways it was a sort of surreal mash-up of The Road and Of Mice and Men, but there are a lot of other things going on as well. A unique and memorable story.

Thanks for reading it! The prompt was something like “A giant mouse man roaming a post-apocalyptic wasteland looking for a mate”. Mouseman leapt into my head, and I had to tell the story the way he wanted it told.

Eee, new story! I love it! It’s voice is a bit of a departure from the other stuff of yours I’ve read – I love the gruffness of it. (And, of course, I love that bizarre world, but that almost goes without saying…)
