oh my gosh, I want all of those bookplates. What IS going on in that sixth one down? Is Death being overwhelmed by the slings and arrows of Fertility/some lady who knows how to use what she’s got? I love that he even seems to have thrown up his hourglass in dismay.
My wild guess is that you’re right on, and that it’s “Love conquers death”. Or else Death is going “Jesus, I haven’t seen pubic hair since 1979!”
