After two or three months of not finishing Pan, I’m back on the case. Re-did the leg fur, made a rock, finished the hair, and changed the pipes from a regular pan flute to a two pipe arrangement like this. All I have to do now are the forearms. Which are tricky. Lots of muscles in a forearm, and while it would look silly in this pose if I put them all in, I want to show a fair bit of definition. Have to make sketches. Really hoping to finish on the weekend — getting a bit anxious about too much stuff unfinished.

I’ve got posts unposted, emails unwritten… I’ve also got nearly 20,000 words of an execrable first draft of Unfurnished Souls. And I’ve been on another health kick for the past few weeks. Running in the graveyard, going cakeless. Dim Sim is around, and round — getting seriously fat. He likes to sleep on the shrine at the end of the street. Will post photo. Meanwhile, I am having fantasies about baklava and related topics.
