Zanni Bird is now available on my Etsy. Other new pieces going up soon!
New pieces arrived from the foundry today, including Snail Knights on their quest for the Holy Snail! I’ll be photographing them and putting them up on Etsy in the next couple of weeks.
Sir Prize Party was a good talker; Sir Enity was a good listener…
Sir Cumnavigator and Sir Vivor at the edge of the Land of Brown:
My first attempt at jewellery: bronze and silver rings featuring one of my favourite obsessions, the bauta mask. This is also my first go at a patina. I used liver of sulphur and got quite varied effects. The first two rows are bronze and the rest are silver (the first silver row is polished back). Hopefully I’ll get the process under somewhat better control in future. The silver seems more predictable than the bronze. Some of the bronze ones developed an iridescent colour and others didn’t, and I really don’t know why. The bronze ones seemed to keep on changing after I put them in the stop bath, too. Some research and/or experiments may be in order if I make any more. I’ll be sealing most of these with lacquer, but I might clean up a few of the less interesting ones and try again.
